!
The manual says not to blend hot liquids. Ninja containers are not intended for hot blending. Cool soups and sauces to room temperature first manual.
!

!

How the Ninja Mega compares
Ninja Mega Kitchen System vs Professional Plus Kitchen System
The Mega runs a 1,500 watt motor and a manual speed dial. The Professional Plus runs 1,400 peak watts and adds 5 Auto-iQ preset programs. Ninja states that the Professional Plus has more functionality than the BL770, based on the number of blending programs Ninja.
Both systems ship with a stacked blade, a chopping blade and a dough blade NinjaNinja.
Ninja Mega Kitchen System vs UltraCrush Professional Kitchen System
Both bases are rated at 1,500 watts. The UltraCrush adds an 1,800 watt peak rating and four named speeds, and it takes up a narrower footprint. The Mega keeps the dough blade and the second to-go cup Ninja.
Pick the Mega when dough matters. Ninja lists a dough blade in the BL770 box and does not list one for the UltraCrush Ninja.
Is it a blender or a food processor?
It is both, because one motor base drives three separate containers. The 72 oz pitcher with the Stacked Blade Assembly is the blender. The 64 oz bowl with the Chopping Blade or Dough Blade is the food processor manual.
Ninja says the bowl gives even chopping and makes dough, and that the pitcher pulverizes ice to snow Ninja. The two to-go cups cover single drinks. The owner's guide notes that the blade assemblies are not interchangeable between containers.
Can the bowl be used for drinks?
No, Ninja says the 64 oz bowl is not intended for blending drinks manual. Use the pitcher for batch drinks and the Nutri Ninja cup for a single drink. The bowl lid has a drizzle hole for adding liquid during processing.
Can it make dough?
Yes, Ninja says the 8 cup bowl makes up to 2 lbs of dough in 30 seconds Ninja. The Dough Blade Assembly goes in the processor bowl, and the speed chart puts kneading on speed 1.
The chart lists bread dough, pie dough, pizza dough and pretzel dough on speed 1manual. Cookie dough and light cake batters use the same blade and speed. The manual says the unit forms a dough ball and is not meant to knead on and on.
Before you start
If the unit moves a lot on the work surface, take the dough ball out and knead it by hand manual.
Can it shred cheese and slice vegetables?
Grating is in the speed chart, and slicing needs an extra kit. Ninja lists grated cheese and bread crumbs for the bowl with the Chopping Blade Assembly, on speed 3 or PULSEmanual.
For discs, Ninja sells the Professional Prep System, model XSK770, and lists it as compatible with the BL770 Ninja. That kit holds four discs: slicing and shredding, crinkle cut, grating, and short cut french fry. Ninja says the discs, lid, food pusher and slinger are all dishwasher safe.

Care and quick fixes from the manual
How to clean it
Separate every part and wash the containers in warm, soapy water with a soft cloth.
Wash blade assemblies with a long handled dishwashing utensil, so your hands stay clear of the blades.
Or put the lids, containers and blade assemblies on the dishwasher top rack only.
Take the blade assemblies out of their containers first.
Unplug the base, then wipe it with a clean, damp cloth manual.
Ninja says not to use abrasive cloths, pads or brushes on the base, and never to submerge the base.
If the motor will not start
Check that the container is locked onto the motor base.
Check that the lid sits in the right position, with the arrows lined up.
Press the power button to switch the unit on.
Check the plug, then the fuse or circuit breaker.
Unplug and wait about 15 minutes if the unit has overheated or overloaded manual.
How to reset the motor
The unit has a safety system that disables the motor when it is overloaded manual.
Unplug the unit from the outlet.
Let it cool for about 15 minutes.
Take off the lid and the blade assembly.
Empty the container and clear anything jamming the blade.
Ninja says going over the maximum capacity is the most common cause of an overload.
If the base will not stick to the counter
Wipe the surface and the suction feet clean manual. Ninja says the suction feet hold on smooth surfaces only, and will not hold on wood, tile or unpolished finishes. Never run the unit while the base is stuck to a loose surface such as a cutting board or a platter.
