How Element iQ moves the heat
Element iQ adjusts the power of the heating elements to cook food more evenly and quickly manual. Breville moves that power between 6 independent quartz elements, above and below the food, with its own sensing and PID temperature control Breville.
The elements pulse in short bursts while they hold the set temperature, which the manual lists as normal. Each function keeps your last setting, even after you unplug it.
Phase Cook, Frozen Foods and the door sensor
Three buttons handle the jobs that need more than one step manual. PHASE COOK programs 2 functions back to back, on Broil, Bake, Roast, Warm and Pizza, and the second one starts by itself. FROZEN FOOD adjusts the cook for food from the freezer, on 6 of the functions. Rotate Remind sounds an alert when it is time to swap food between racks.
The door is sensed, so the timer pauses and the light comes on when you open it, and both resume when you close it. Leave the door open for more than 10 minutes during a cook and the heaters switch off.
Two reversible wire racks come in the box, and the 4 grooves give 8 rack positions. With a rack in position 3 or 4, a magnet ejects it halfway out when the door opens, so open that door slowly.
How to set up and use it

Remove and discard all packing material, promotional labels and tape.
Take out the crumb tray, wire racks, broiling rack, roasting pan, basket and pizza pan.
Wash those parts in warm soapy water with a soft sponge, then rinse and dry them.
Wipe the inside of the oven with a soft damp sponge and dry it.
Stand the oven on a flat dry surface, with 4 inches clear at each side and 6 inches above.
Slide the crumb tray in, then unwind the cord and plug it into a grounded outlet.
Turn the SELECT/CONFIRM dial to the right until the indicator reaches PIZZA.
Press START/STOP and let the oven run empty for the 20 minute preset.
Wait for the end alert and the white screen. The oven is now ready.
For a cook, set the rack position printed on the right of the door window.
Turn SELECT/CONFIRM to your function, then set the TEMPERATURE and TIME dials.
Press START/STOP, and add the food after the preheat alert on the preheat functions.

The preheat alert sounds at 75% of the target temperature, which Breville says gives the fastest combined preheat and cook time manual.

How to clean the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro
Unplug the oven and let it and every accessory cool completely.
Slide the crumb tray out, tip the crumbs away and wipe it with a soft damp sponge.
Soak the crumb tray in warm soapy water to lift baked on grease, then dry it.
Wipe the inside walls, which carry a non-stick coating, with a soft damp sponge.
Rub gently along the length of each quartz element with a damp sponge and no cleanser.
Clean the glass door with glass cleaner or mild detergent on a soft damp sponge.
Dry every surface fully, slide the crumb tray back in, then plug the oven in manual.
The manual asks you to skip standard oven cleaner inside, because it damages the metal surface. Abrasive cleansers and metal scouring pads scratch the door and body.
If the oven will not switch on
Check that the plug sits firmly in the outlet manual. Try an independent outlet, then a different outlet, and reset the circuit breaker if you need to.
If the screen has gone dark
